The
winters in Maine can be L-O-N-G and cold. The Island
Community Center has an open door policy where any time
the facility is open, community members are welcome
to come and walk in our heated gymnasium for as long
as they want.
Often senior citizens are afraid to walk outside in
inclement weather. By opening our doors, we assure the
safety of all of our community members.
